Governor David A. Paterson has proposed a $6.5 million reduction in the grants budget of the New York State Council on the Arts, for the 2011 fiscal year, from $41.7 to $35.2 million. NYSCA's operating budget would also be reduced by $600,000, trimming the staff from 44 to 34 positions. For details, click here.
