Brooklyn's Bushwick Becomes World-Class Arts Mecca

With up and coming artists finding safe (and cheap) housing and studio space, Brooklyn's Bushwick neighborhood is in the midst of a Renaissance. Reminding neighborhood watchers of affordable Greenwich Village in the 1950's and 60's, Bushwick is luring theater, music, dance, and visual arts creators and performers to put down roots, transforming a once tough urban turf into a new arts Mecca.
