DCA TO HOLD INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS ON NEW APPLICATION PROCESS
Open to All Cultural Organizations
The Department of Cultural Affairs has announced major reforms in the City's process providing funds for nonprofit cultural organizations. These changes will affect both organizations eligible for program funds and City-owned institutions. For information, visit DCA's Web site at www.nyc.gov/culture.
Beginning this Thursday, the agency will hold informational sessions in every borough to discuss the new process with cultural groups and answer any questions you may have. We urge you to attend one of these sessions.

In addition, DCA will host application seminars--one in each borough--aimed at guiding organizations seeking program funding through the application process. Dates and locations for these seminars will be determined shortly. Check DCA's Web site for details.
NOTE: Applications for FY '08 funding will be made available to the public on February 16 and will be due on March 26. This new application deadline, which is earlier than in previous years, will allow FY '08 applications to be reviewed in time for award notifications to be made at the start of the fiscal year. Organizations will still have the same amount of time to prepare applications as they have had in the past.
